What's crackin', Players and Playettes?
You KNOW how WE do it! The Flow always keeps you wrapped around the tightest "whips" in the game.
Last month, it was All-Pro Pittsburg Steelers Wide Receiver,Hines Ward and his "Ward of Whips".
This month, it's the Washington Wizards' Perennial All-World Guard, Gilbert Arenas and his "Hibachi Hoo-riders".
Why the word, "hibachi"?
His current nickname is "Agent Zero," but he is also known as "The Hibachi," which is a shout to the small Japanese "fire bowl", since his shooting hand gets SO hot!
Case in point...
After he lit up The Los Angeles Lakers for a career high 60 points, including 8 rebounds and 8 assists in a win 147-141 on December 17, 2006, Kobe Bryant (who scored 45), dissed him by saying this:
"He doesn't seem to have much of a conscience. I really don't think he does. Some of the shots he took tonight, you miss those, and they're just terrible shots. Awful."
Arenas has retaliated to the diss by no longer screaming his traditional word of "hibachi" when his jump shot is in mid-air, and has replaced it with the new phrase, "quality shots."
"Out of that whole game I probably took two bad shots," he retorted."And for me not to have a conscience? You're right. When you're an assassin, you don't have a conscience."
Kobe still had to admit that Gilbert Arenas is one of the most difficult players to "check" in the league.
He became a first-time starter for the Eastern Conference in this month's NBA All-Star game to edge out Vince Carter by only 3,000 votes to play next to Dwyane Wade.
Gilbert's Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and his Lamborghini Murciélago roadster aren't just "quality cars"... They SIZZLE like "Hibachi Chicken".
“Now I get a new car and keep it simple…. I’m a grown man now!” says Gilbert.
He also picked up an 2007 Cadillac Escalade after seeing his boy,Cleveland Cavaliers Superstar, LeBron James rock his after a game.
So,what they all hittin' fo'? "Quality loot!"
Gilbert's rides are SO crisp and tender...
You may hear him change his battle cry from "quality shots" to"11 herbs and spices!"
