Snoop Dogg

 Snoop Dogg: tha Exclusive!

Story by Matthew Shack

Snoop Dogg is America’s Favorite Rapper.  (No, I’m not smokin' the Sticky-Icky.)

Contemporaries like Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Diddy may have more corporate or financial success than he…but they definitely are not as beloved.
Case and point…

Name someone you know personally that can’t stand, Snoop Dogg…not  so  easy of a task, huh?

I thought my 83-year-old church-going grandmother might be that particular person.

Nope! She calls him Snoopy Dogg.

Even after his many well-documented run-ins with law, Snoop is like your favorite cousin; the one that you accept just for being who he really is.

“That’s just Snoop.”

Automobile icon Lee Iacocca said of him and of his “–izzle” form of speech after filming a 2005 Chrysler commercial, "He's just a good kid. I didn't understand half the things he was telling me, but it was fun."

He is now Hip-Hop’s Cliff Huxtable with his TV reality show Snoop Dogg's Father Hood on E! The show features his wife Shante, two sons Corde (Spank) and Cordell (Rook), and daughter Cori (Choc). Father Hood demonstrates to its audience the difficulties and struggles in balancing a rap superstar’s career and full-fledged family life.

It might be easy to forget Snoop Dogg’s true origin and introduction to us all, due to all of the love in the room.

As I was told by a random person regarding this story, “I don’t like rap or any of that stuff, but Snoop Dogg seems!”

But he’s about to reintroduce himself in animated form with “The Adventures of  tha Blue Carpet Treatment DVD” released by Codeblack Entertainment on June 24, 2008.

So what is “Tha Blue Carpet Treatment”?

“Tha Blue Carpet Treatment” is a colorful and twisted encounter in the shade of blue, giving you the Snoopadelic Experience , as he comes across scuffles, confrontations and circumstances while on a nomadic journey through the streets of SoCal.

Snoop wants you to remember that he hasn’t forgotten his roots. What’s cool about TBCT is that it’s also an animated musical piece.

"The movie will give you something to look at because when I was making this record I was real visual about it," he says. "I had a cartoon mind while I was making it, so I just wanted to bring that to the light."

Star-studded exclusive guest appearances on the DVD include Mike Epps, Katt Williams, Nate Dogg, E-40, The Game, and Cypress Hill's B-Real.

Music videos from TBCT will soon be available for purchase through iTunes and Snoop Dogg Presents "The Adventures of Tha Blue Carpet Treatment" DVD will also be available on Amazon.
