“Tum has been holding down Dallas now for a long time. He’s been successful on the underground scene year after year. I’m excited to see him do his thing Nationally.” –Paul Wall
Hailing from Dallas, Texas it’s our pleasure to introduce you to, Tum Tum. Already making waves in the Dallas mixtape scene he is set to release his highly anticipated album, Eat or Get Ate, which is laced with tracks that weave stories of the street life and his struggles to rise above it all.
With the single “Caprice Musik,” bumping in cars across the country, this 24-year old is set to make waves and put Dallas on the map with his debut album, “In Dallas we’ll take an old car like a Chevy, put mini-van doors on it, sit it on 24’s like ‘top that!’ It’s a competition,” saidTum Tum.
The single has been featured in Blender as one of the “Songs You Should Download This Month,” in Spin’s “Songs You Need to Download Now” section, as one of The Source’s “Sure Shot Singles,” and on “The Official Summer Playlist for Swervin” in Donk.
Tum Tum, who was given his name by his grandmother due to his ever protruding belly, saved himself from the lure of the streets through his music.
His album gives you a glimpse into the life of a young man who is torn between working the corner and working a 9 to 5. He has appeared on or hosted over 170 mix tapes and the upcoming album features The Game and Jim Jones.
