Cynietra: Chocolate Body Girl!
Story and Interview by Matthew Shack
The following quote, speaks for itself...
"Caramels are only a fad. Chocolate is a permanent thing." -Milton Snavely Hershey. (Creator of the Hershey Bar.)
Cynietra (Sin-ee-Tra), is "Every Dark Skin Girl's Role Model".
You've seen her in David Banner's " Shawty Say", Ray Lavender's "My Girl Gotta Girlfriend", Lil Fizz & Ray J's, "Beds". But her principal role in the smash-hit video,"Can't Believe It" by T-Pain feat. Lil' Wayne has made Cynietra, into a household face.
She is also the Spokes Model for Royal Imex Hair Procuts the Cocoa Series and a premiere model for The Flow Online Magazine.
Like T-Pain says... "if you don't understand, she make the people say yeahhhh... yeahhhhh!"
TFM: How did you get introduced into the modeling industry?
Cynietra: Modeling was something that I have always wanted to do. So I decided to market myself through www.Myspace.com/cynietra. I got pictures taken and I soon recieved interest from photographers who then refered me to other people. It was good ol' networking at it's best!
TFM: You have unbelievable beauty. What do you think needs to happen in this industry to increase the visibility and exposure of darker skinned models in Hip Hop??
Cynietra: A lot of people do not realize that the artist has the final say when it comes to his leading lady. So I believe that black artists need to step up and book women that look like the women in their communities because after all, women are the ones that are buying rapper's CDs and concert tickets!
TFM: How old are you and how does it feel to represent Long Beach, CA along with our cover story interview Warren G.?
Cynietra: I am 23 and it feels awesome to rep the LBC. I love Long Beach. Growing up in LB, is one of the reasons why I am such a well rounded young lady. My city has given me the opportunity to do many great things, like to represent Long Beach as a classical vocalist in the NAACP ACT-SO Competitions. It's so multi-cultured. I remember back in the day when I was at summer camp and at the end of the summer, we had family night and I arranged for myself and a group of kids to perform "Summertime in the LBC"! It was fab!
TFM: How do you feel about bringing in Halloween as October 2008’s Face Of The Flow and being one of our newest models?
Cynietra: I feel ecstatic about The Flowgiving me the honor to grace their pages!
TFM: How did you like working with T-Pain and how did you land the video lead?
Cynietra: T-Pain is a very respectful and talented man. I had a great time being on set with him and my mother, Pamela did too! He told her "Thank you for making a beautiful chocolate girl!" Lil' Wayne shook her hand and called her "Sweetheart!" I landed the lead because "Pain" specifically asked for a "beautiful chocolate woman", and they liked my look the most after holding two auditions and seeing over 200 girls!
TFM: Tell us about what you have planned for the remainder of 2008?
Cynietra: To keep the ball moving on the "Cynietra" project! That means that the website will be out soon! www.cynietra.com The youtube blog channel is up and running so everyone can see my personal videos and behind the scenes at photo shoots at www.youtube.com/cynietrathemodel . My XXL Eye Candy spread will be out in November and my KING Candid Camera spread will be out in November, as well. Thank you to all who visit and leave messages for me. I always write everyone back who hits up my MySpace and YouTube pages!
TFM: What are your measurements, weight and height?
Cynietra: I'm 34B-24-40, 130 lbs and I'm 5'7''.
TFM: What is your most favorite part of your body and why?
Cynietra: My eyes because they are big and beautiful. They speak for themselves.
TFM: Tell us one of your patented beauty secrets.
Cynietra: It wouldn't be a secret anymore if I told you, but since I love The Flow, I will. [Laughing] I absolutely can not live without my face wash from Bliss. It's called the Fabulous Foaming Face Wash.
TFM: What pet peeves do you have regarding men?
Cynietra: I cannot stand a man who does not have self confidence. His swag has to be a "hundred thousand trillion"!
TFM: How can a person get next to you? Are you available?
Cynietra: As I said before, Swag is a must. Now I don't need a millionaire or a boss but I love a man who can hold his own. I know a liar as soon as he opens his mouth, so honesty is a must. I am available but I choose not to date because I don't have the time and I'm trying to get my career right. My past relationships have failed because of men being insecure and thinking that I will leave them for a rich athlete or rapper. I'll never date rappers or athletes because when I'm with someone, It's supposed to be me and you against the world, not me, you and your groupies!!!! Also, I will not tolerate being cheated on! So if there is a man out there who can hold me down and hold his own, contact Matthew Shack at www.TheFlowOnline.com and he'll introduce us! [Laughs]
TFM: What’s the worst pick-up line ever tried on you?
Cynietra: Well, I have heard many lame lines but this line is not really a pick up line but it happens to be a popular conversation starter for a lot of black men. "You're the most beautiful dark skin woman I have ever seen!" or "You're beautiful to be dark skin" I hear these all the time and I can't stand it! Men should be much more original. My brothas!! Come on now! It's amusing because black men are the only ones who say this, when men of other races approache me, they simply say, "You are beautiful". That really is all that needs to be said.
TFM: What advice would you give to all of those models out there wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Cynietra: Have a back up plan when getting into this business. You can not be rich by being in magazines and music videos! They are simply a stepping stone to obtain exsposure, that if you use the exposure the right way, it can be very beneficial to your career. Get a team, a manager, a lawyer,a publicist, a web developer and "Brand", yourself.. Expand your horizon, and become marketable to other outlets like "Beauty" and "Hair" modeling. My face is used on boxes of hair products by Royal Imex. There is so much more beyond the urban modeling industry. Last but not least, Create and Hustle! Nothing will be handed to you! Good luck ladies!
