Story and Interview by Matthew Shack
Sugar candy or "confections" come in a never-ending assortment of flavors, kinds, and consistencies.
Toffee, caramel, chocolate, jelly beans, peppermint sticks, bubble gum, taffy, cotton candy, lollipops, fudge, gummi bears, gumdrops and candy bars are all delicious examples of what we affectionately know as, "candy".
Candy Noel is rich in sugar but she is free of any artificial sweeteners or preservatives.
The Providence, R.I. syrupy siren is all natural, high calorie-intake!
But remember this... "Excessive consumption" of Candy Noel has been linked with increased frequency of type 2 diabetes, obesity and tooth decay.
TFM: How did you get introduced into the modeling business?
Candy: I was actually introduced to modeling in a couple of different ways; one of them being on MySpace and another being in my Aunt's cafe. It started with a couple of bikini pictures that I posted on MySpace and I suddenly received messages and friend requests from photographers. Around the same time, I was introduced to a photographer at my Aunt's cafe who, after meeting me, wanted to set up a shoot. And I've been in front of the camera ever since!
TFM: You have a very wonderful look. What is your nationality?
Candy: My father is Sicilian and my mother is Portuguese.
TFM: How old are you?
Candy: I'm 18. I’m young, I know.
TFM: What do you think about being one of our youngest models?
Candy: I believe I have a big advantage because I started out so young. Many girls start their careers or are discovered in they’re 20's which doesn't leave much time left, seeing as beauty only lasts for so long. I've accomplished quite a bit for someone my age and by the time I'm a legal drinking age I plan on gracing the covers of many more magazines, calendars, etc. Gotta love the print work.
TFM: Tell us about what you have planned for '08?
Candy: I've had a thing for hosting lately. It's something I've been getting into and I really enjoy it, so I'm doing a lot of hosting for parties and events for the summer, fashion shows, special appearances, and I plan to finish the television series that I'm in, "Angles". I also have a few shoots coming soon; I have some crazy ideas this time so be on the lookout for those
TFM: What are your measurements, weight and height?
Candy: 34D-26-39, 135 lbs and I'm 5'3.
TFM: What is your most favorite part of your body and why?
Candy:I don't have a favorite part of my body that I like more than the other, I'm happy with everything that God has blessed me with. [Smiles]
TFM: Tell us one of your patented beauty secrets.
Candy: MOISTURIZE! [Laughs] I carry a bottle of lotion with me everywhere I go. Healthy skin and nails are so important, and it makes a big difference in appearance.
TFM: What pet peeves do you have regarding men?
Candy: UGH! Men who have bad hygiene. I love a man who smells good, has nice skin and hands, moisturizes and dresses sharp. Guys, go get your pedicure and manicure on!
TFM: Can a normal guy get with you or does he have to have something cracking?
Candy: I always have the "whatever happens, happens" attitude, so if I meet a guy and we hit it off, it doesn't matter "who" he is or what he does.
TFM: What advice would you give to all of those models out there, who are trying to follow in your footsteps?
Candy: Be a lady, be choosy, be careful and be passionate about what you're pursuing. It's a tough, dog-eat-dog industry, so be smart about the choices you make and people you surround yourself with. Do your research, don't be afraid to ask questions and don't ever let fear or nervousness hold you back from doing anything but follow your gut instincts and beware of the wolves. I've learned to be business savvy at a very early age, entertainment is a demanding, stressful and sometimes scary industry to get into, but the key is to learn and take in as much as you can, and with all that taken into consideration, and used, it can be the most amazing experience of your life.
