Madea's Witness Protection
Madea's Witness Protection (2012)
Wall Street investment banker,George Needleman (Eugene Levy) who has been set up as the linchpin of his company's mob-backed Ponzi scheme is relocated with his family to Aunt Madea's (Tyler Perry) southern home.
Tyler Perry's beloved character, Mabel 'Madea' Simmons is back and doing it on the undercover tip.
Witness Protection, the fourteenth film in the Perry film franchise, and the seventh in the Madea franchise opened with a take of $26.4 million at the box-office on only a budget of $20 million.
Do the math... 1+1= 2, or in Perry's case.. 1+1= 5.
Love or lump it, Tyler Perry is a movie making juggernaut who is continually laughing all the way to the bank.
It if ain't broke, don't fix it.
The titles may change but the results remain the same. Witness Protection is cool family fun and good times.
So if you really want to laugh all you have to do is hear Madea say...
"Heller, how ya dern?".. "Halleluyer, praise da Lort!"
Go to the matinee and check it out.
Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son (2011)
FBI agent Malcolm Turner (Martin Lawrence) and his son, Trent (Brandon T. Jackson), go undercover at an all-girls performing arts school after Trent witnesses a murder.
Posing as Big Momma and Charmaine Daisy Pierce, they must find the murderer before he finds them.
In a nutshell, this sequel to Big Momma's House and Big Momma's House 2 was absolutely horrible.
We always expect a certain level of comedic genius from Martin Lawrence, but it's just not there in this picture.
We also like the unique combination of he and Brandon T. Jackson, but they need to do another flick together with a better script and concept altogether.
Not worth buying but if it's free? Do the damn thing!
