The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Eight years after taking the blame for Harvey Dent's crimes, Batman (Christian Bale) battles a new foe unlike any other he has ever faced.

Bane (Tom Hardy) smothers Gotham Police, terrorizes the city, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect those that have sworn him as an enemy.

Starring Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt,
Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman, Matthew Modine
and Michael Caine. Directed by Christopher Nolan.

This is the final installment of Nolan's 'Dark Knight Trilogy' series and it is a masterpiece.

Under his watch and in only seven years, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises have all generated over $1.8 Billion at the box office worldwide.

Chris Brown
said it best..."Look at me now, look at me now... Oh, I'm getting pa-PER."

With this being the last Batman film for Christopher Nolan as director, I truly believe Oscar Nominations are clearly in order.

The action and suspense sequences were on an all-time level and it intensely surpasses its predecessors with relative ease.

In plain english, The Dark Knight Rises was ridiculously, dope as s***!

Rumor has it that the next Batman film will be a reboot, possibly with Nolan as producer.

However, Christian Bale has said that he would be willing to return for a fourth Batman film if Nolan came to him with a script.

Unfortunately that statement reminds me of Michael Jordan's ultimate marriage to Phil Jackson as coach of the Chicago Bulls.

No Phil...
no Mike.

To say this film is a must see is to say 'ice is cold' and 'water is wet'. So why speak on the blatantly obvious?

Break bread!

The Dark Knight (2008)

Just one year removed from thwarting Ra's Al Ghul's plan to have Gotham eliminated, Batman (Christian Bale) with the assistance of Lt. Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) set out to rid organized Gotham from organized crime for good.

But now a new psychopathic criminal mastermind called, "The Joker" (Heath Ledger) has emerged from the shadows.

Starring Gary Oldman, Cillian Murphy, Eric Anthony Roberts, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine. Directed by Christopher Nolan.

The Dark Knight is the greatest superhero film ever. Why?

One name, Heath Ledger.

The Dark Knight Rises was definitely superior in plotted action packed entertainment and Bane was a beast of a arch-enemy but they couldn't hold Heath Ledger's umbrella on a sunny day let alone, a rainy one.

The Joker:
All you care about is money. This city deserves a better class of criminal. And I'm gonna give it to them!

You sure did, Heath.. you sure did.

Heath Ledger (1979–2008) RIP.
