Iron Man 3
Iron Man 3 (2013)
If The Avengers was the greatest superhero movie ever, then Iron Man 3 must be positioned as the most different of all.
IM3 not only scored highly with viewers, it also scorched the record books as it opened to $175.3 million within the first 3-days of release and landed the #2 domestic debut of all-time behind #1 Marvel flick, The Avengers ($207.4 million).
Prodigal son, Robert Downey Jr. returns as Tony Stark in this action-packed thriller who locks up with his arch-nemesis/terrorist, The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley).
Gwyneth Paltrow returns as Starks' girlfriend, Pepper Potts and Don Cheadle as James Rhodes better known as, the former War Machine, now rebranded as the Iron Patriot.
The narrative arc of the film is so contemporary to the state of affairs in the world today, it seems to be more clairvoyant than just a flying heroic fantasy.
Iron Man 3 is a must see. If you choose not to see it, be prepared to hear about the film in its entirety from those who have.
Iron Man 2 (2010)
