Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)
Directed by: Jay Roach
Cast: Mike Myers, Beyoncé Knowles, Michael York, Michael Caine, Heather Graham, Seth Green, Robert Wagner, Mindy Sterling, Verne Troyer
Dr. Evil and Mini-Me have somehow escaped from a maximum security prison and the duo team up with Goldmember. Together they formulate a plan for world domination. And this particular scheme requires a large amount of time-travel, and kidnapping Austin Powers' father, England's master spy, Nigel Powers.
As Austin chases Dr. Evil, Mini-Me and Goldmember through time, he stops in 1975 to "connect" with an old girlfriend, detective Foxxy Cleopatra, and requests her help to track the villains and save his father.
We all know that Austin Powers is a spoof on James Bond but, Powers is still his own man. He is damn funny and I can't wait for this film to hit the theater. The fact that Beyoncé Knowles is in Goldmember makes absolutley no difference to me, whatsover. It's not like she's even good- looking or sexy or beautiful enough for me to care. I'm going strictly for the laughs.
(I'm lying, and YOU know it)
Don't forget about Fat Bastard, the bloated Scot. You KNOW he'll be his ol' nasty self, once again. If you just want to go and really enjoy yourself at a movie and laugh your heart out? Go and see, Goldmember.
Genre: Action/Adventure/ Comedy
Directed by: Guy Hamilton
Cast: Sean Connery, Honor Blackman, Gert Fröbe, Shirley Eaton,Tania Mallet,Harold Sakata, Bernard Lee
The Bank of England has discovered that someone is stockpiling vast quantities of gold and suspects international bullion dealer Auric Goldfinger of being involved. The Bank requests that British agent James Bond be sent to investigate.
Bond soon uncovers an audacious plan to commit "the crime of the century" and bring economic chaos to the West.Beginning innocently enough with a murder, James Bond finds himself investigating Goldfinger, a gold dealer who the Bank of England suspects is stockpiling huge amounts of gold bullion. However, he soon uncovers a far more sinister plot.
Goldfinger is considered to be the best of the Sean Connery/ James Bond films. There's plenty of action, suspence and Pussy Galore.( Don't trip, that's the name Bond's love interest ...and this was in 1964) I'm a huge Connery fan and other than Pierce Brosnan nobody is James Bond to me. Not, George Lazenby, not Roger Moore. (I can't stand him as Bond) The plot of this film is still effective and is better than most films now are released on a weekly basis . The intrigue is still there after nearly 40 years.
